The city of Addison, Texas, requires annual backflow testing of all backflow devices as part of the Addison Backflow Prevention Program as required by the state of Texas and federal law.  The purpose of this program is to make sure the water distribution system remains pure and is not polluted by backflow waste, thus ensuring the safety and health of Addison’s population.

Backflow testers are required to apply for and be granted a backflow testing license from the city of Addison.  This registration is required and the license must be maintained and current in order for backflow testers to operate within Addison’s city limits.
