If you are looking for Burleson backflow prevention, you have come to the right place. We are City Backflow Testing, and our number is (817) 996-2000 and talk to us about protecting your home and family against the dangers of back flow.
The City of Burleson has this to say about backflow testing on their city website:
Cross-Connection
Backflow Prevention Assembly Test & Maintenance Reports
All backflow prevention assembly test and maintenance reports should be submitted to Water and Wastewater Division. A list of all active backflow prevention assembly testers will be updated and provided here as needed.
What you will notice immediately is the list of registered backflow testing companies. City Backflow Testing is, in fact, on that list, just as we are on the list of active back flow preventors assembly testers for most cities within Tarrant County.
What isn’t said on that Burleson backflow information page is that backflow testing is required once a year, and business owners are subject to fines if that testing is not completed at the proper time, so having a backflow testing company which watches out for you is fairly important.
What is involved in this backflow testing procedure?
City Backflow Testing follows the following steps during our backflow inspection visit:
We use USC 10th Addition Testing Procedures:
- Notify- Notify the customer we are here for testing
- Identify- Make sure serial number is correct and that we have the right assembly
- Inspect- Make sure there are 4 test ports and 2 Shut off handles
- Observe- Attach test equipment and follow proper testing procedures for this assembly
- Test Reports- Enter values for the assemblies
- Turn in all test Reports to the local water Purveyor or City
We are known in every city in the county, and our work is approved and trusted. What more could you ask for from a company who is protecting you from the ravages of polluted water?
Why is backflow testing so important?
Besides the obvious fact that annual testing will keep you from paying a fine, the more important point is that backflow is a public health hazard. We all benefit when back flow is avoided.
For the uninformed, backflow occurs when a sudden drop in water pressure allows contaminated water to flow from homes and businesses back towards the main city water supply. Obviously we don’t want pesticides, chemicals, and human waste to flow into the city’s water supply, so backflow devices are installed on the water system which will block that reverse water flow should it occur. These backflow preventers literally sense a drop in water pressure and immediately block the reverse flow of water. They will continue to block that waste until the water pressure is restored and water is flowing in the proper direction.
And a yearly inspection will prevent it all from happening!
The name is City Backflow Testing, a trusted name in Tarrant County and Burleson. Pick up the phone and schedule your backflow testing sooner rather than later. If you do, we all benefit!
