The City of Azle, Texas, certifies and regulates backflow testing, prevention and maintenance as required by Texas and Federal law. This certification and regulation is conducted to ensure that the water system of Azle is protected from contaminants caused by backflow and thus guarding the safety and health of Azle citizens. They require annual testing of backflow devices.
All backflow testers must be certified by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to show that they have current certification and valid licensing. It is also required for all backflow testers to register with the City of Azle.
