The City of Mansfield, Texas, in accordance with Texas regulations passed in 1995, states that all testable backflow prevention assemblies shall be tested upon installation by a recognized backflow prevention assembly tester.

Annual Backflow testing is necessary to ensure that polluted water does not flow back into the City’s potable water supply as a result of backflow, which is caused by a sudden loss of water pressure at the water supply end of the system.  Only backflow installers and repairmen who are licensed and certified by the State of Texas and the City of Mansfield may work on backflow devices in Mansfield.

City Backflow Testing is licensed and certified for backflow testing, repair, maintenance and installation.
