The City of Kennedale, Texas regulates the installation and testing of backflow prevention devices through its Building Inspection and Water Operation Departments.

In accordance with federal, state and local regulations, backflow devices must be annually inspected.  These devices are designed to prevent the entry of contaminants into the potable water supply.  Prior to the installation of a new irrigation system, plumbing system or modification of existing systems, proper testing must be done.
