The Water Utilities Department of Irvine, Texas, is responsible for providing Irvine residents with safe and clean drinking water at a reasonable volume and cost, and it is also charged with the safe collection and disposal of sewage water.  With that in mind, Irvine operates a Backflow Prevention Program to protect the integrity of the water distribution and ensure a healthy and safe water system by guarding against backflow.

In accordance with the mission to deliver exceptional service in the distribution of high quality drinking water, Irving requires annual backflow testing so that every backflow device be tested once each year by a certified and licensed backflow testing company.

City Backflow Testing is licensed and certified by the City of Irving, Texas.
